Simon enjoyed presenting two lectures today in the historic and
beautiful Chandos House at the Royal Society of Medicine.
His lecture regarding Suprascapular nerve management stimulated a good discussion on managing pain symptoms in patients where the preference is to avoid surgery.
This was followed by a session on shoulder instability, where Simon presented the possible reasons that the arthroscopic Latarjet stabilisation has not had a greater uptake in the UK despite good clinical results. The highlight of this session was the lecture and discussion with Professor Pascale Boileau from Nice who described his technique for bone block stabilisation.
